Speech-Language Therapy

Speech-language pathologists are highly trained professionals who work to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social/pragmatic, cognitive-communication, and feeding and swallowing difficulties and disorders. Individualized therapy programs target the development of both verbal and nonverbal communication abilities within the context of the child's naturalistic, everyday environments. Developing speech and language skills through play is an evidence-based, highly successful treatment method that allows children to have fun while building essential communication skills.

At Thrive Therapy Associates, we emphasize and value the critical role parents/caregivers and families play in supporting and progressing their child's communication skills. Families are encouraged to be active participants in the treatment process, and are supported with techniques and strategies for carryover of targeted skills within the home environment.
